I could also go on about how Irish Nationalism was an entirely Protestant game until the 1920s, when the actions of Craig and co. in claiming that it'd form a "papist state" turned many Catholics in to Nationalists. But its more of the same basically - the leaders of the entire thing were either Irish upper class Protestants with the odd Jew; or not really Irish at all (de Valera, Connolly, etc). Going back to the late 18th century rebellions, those were *entirely* protestant lead.

I don't think that would trouble the BPP. They are first and foremost a white supremacist, racist party, with very little interest in historic "nationalism". They perceive the BNP as traitors to the cause, because the BNP have abandoned overt racism and embraced nationalism.
