I think this is the man to fire us to the title.

Baldock, thanks for the blanks, but let's get a goalscorer in up front. But we'd need to keep Baldock somewhere we can call him because Cisse is likely to experience injury problems.

Good shout.

But if we're poaching mid 2000s Prem Strikers then let's go for the swoonsome:

Andy Cole please.

Scored absolutely LOADS for Newcastle, fans tattooing him onto their legs, then he got sold to Man Utd.

GET. HIM. IN.

I've heard Kanchelskis is available, Terry Connor is considering a comeback and Dean Saunders has harboured a wish to play for the club again.

I think that Cisse could be talked out of retirement, and I'd be the man to do it. He'd score goals all over the place, despite his premature concerns that his body is finished. He's definitely a free agent, and I'd still back him to score more goals than Baldock this season.

If Cisse is adamant he's finished then there's no other option, we're going to have to speak to Thierry Henry. Although turienzo's lovechild is on to something with Dean Ashton, that man MEANS goals.
