Yet, when we have set pieces/corners we seem to play it short, pass it round and normally lose possession!!

I rate Potter but whatever his batshit ideas are for defending set pieces are clearly not working.

This is really where Potter is showing himself to be out of his depth. Game after game after game the same problem, we look completely hopeless from corners and free kicks around the box.

Ryan is designed for Dunk and Duffy. Take Duffy out of the equation and Ryan is exposed. Veltman is ok. Webster is useless at heading, positioning or tackling. Set piece, probable goal. Simples. Time for a 6'5" Spaniard in goal.

Not sure what game you watched, Gross put in two superb free kicks that Webster and Dunk both fluffed up massively.

The players must feel like they're in a parallel universe- coached to take all set pieces in a convoluted and indirect way yet conceding every time the opposition lob the ball in to the box.
