1 Vs Chelsea- From a corner

2 Vs United- Dunk OG and penalty conceded from corners

2 Vs United (League Cup) Both from free kicks

2 Vs Everton- One from a corner, one from a free kick.

7 already. How many will we manage this season?

I reckon we’ll ship 28 goals from set pieces this season

I mean 2020/21, obviously :lolol:

Yet, when we have set pieces/corners we seem to play it short, pass it round and normally lose possession!!

1 v Villa- free kick
1 v Southampton (so far)- corner

That's NINE in 13.5 games in all competitions.

Fun fact: 45% of the goals we have conceded this season have been from set pieces.

It seems we spend so long practising passing we never have time for shooting or defending

Dunk's goal v Man U was from a short one, but yes, not direct from a corner for a long time now

This is really where Potter is showing himself to be out of his depth. Game after game after game the same problem, we look completely hopeless from corners and free kicks around the box.

Ryan is designed for Dunk and Duffy. Take Duffy out of the equation and Ryan is exposed. Veltman is ok. Webster is useless at heading, positioning or tackling. Set piece, probable goal. Simples. Time for a 6'5" Spaniard in goal.

The players must feel like they're in a parallel universe- coached to take all set pieces in a convoluted and indirect way yet conceding every time the opposition lob the ball in to the box.
