From the SW corner - front row, I am convinced it was a goal. But also from here we saw numerous things in the south box, the ref/lino didn't (or didn't give) so with the "swings and roundabouts" mentality, I'm okay with this swinging our way.

Realise you sound like a **** and claim to be 'fishing'? Oh you are 'le epic troll'.

Enjoying half-term?

Ref and lino had to give the benefit of the doubt to the defending team. There's no way either of them could've been certain it was over, therefore the correct decision was made.

Goal. No two ways about it, but it wasn't given so why are we trying to convince ourselves it wasn't completely over the line.

It clearly was, but the goal wasn't given. Lucky us. On another day a big decision will go against us, so just enjoy the fact that last night it went our way.

No it didn't. No goal. You cannot say it clearly was.

Having watched those highlights on Sky Sports now absolutely convinced it's not a goal, although only be the thinnest of margins.

I agree.

Quite funny seeing Sky show the overhead view showing it clearly wasn't all over the line with the commentators in the background saying it was well over.

The alternate angle which proves it wasn't a goal seems to have been discarded by the media who have the whiff of controversy in their nostrils. Why are they all jumping on the goal line technology bandwagon in the belief an incorrect decision was made just because Sky said so ?

Some people still don't seem to understand the law. It's all of the ball over all of the line meaning none of the ball can be above any part of the white line when viewed from above the back of the line.

If the incident had resulted in a goal being awarded, you can almost guarentee that sky would have shown the side on view to Oscar Garcia to provoke a reaction like they did with Zola and the worst angle to see it from and Sky would also be claiming it wasn't a goal - the aim of which would be to try to provoke a reaction and maybe suggesting goal line technology needs to be used in the Championship to stop bad decisions like that being made so that they have something headline grabbing that they can report on for a few days and get people discussing a game that they may have forgotten about a few hours later.

Having seen the angled camera view I clearly called this a goal.... however the side on camera has convinced me it would be impossible to definitely call it a goal. So I've changed my mind, as I did when I realised that my wife was less attractive than my thingy originally thought she was

My real opinion is that we'll never actually know, there's literally a hairs length in it I reckon, the only way of properly knowing is that if there was a camera actually straight above the line inside the goal, no photo evidence that has been posted really proves it either way.

And funny the commentary went quite with the overhead view replay.

This is the easiest poll to answer correctly and I'm surprised so many have got it wrong.

Brighton 1 (Crofts 54) Watford 1 (Murray 4). Therefore NO GOAL.

Show me a picture where it was 'clearly' over the line... Goal line technology would probably show that it was a centimetre or two on the line, as the pictures here demonstrate the front angle which shows grass between the ball and the line is completely deceiving.
