Brighton & Hove Albion winger Anthony Knockaert has been shortlisted for the Carling Premier League Goal of the Season award, after his match-winning strike against Crystal Palace in March.

Will go to Townsend (spectacular goal) or Kompany (skill and context) or Salah (because they need one from Liverpool) regardless of any others.

Personally, I thought that Hazard dribble against somebody or other was genius. Half the pub players in the world have scored a Townsend volley, in one lucky, magical moment in their footballing career, simply by swinging a boot and hoping for the best: just for once, all the stars align, and it flies into the top corner.

Fat pub players don't score goals like Hazard's, though. Sustained brilliance and skill, I can't deny (and I absolutely hate Chelsea).

Voted for Knocky of course, but would vote Kompany's the best netbuster on context and impact, and Ramsey's the best team goal (pretty much the only one) with a cheeky finish. So actually if there wasn't an Albion player in there, I'd probably have gone for Ramsey's.
