It was mentioned to me a month or so back that Southampton was a likely move for him this summer.

Didn't he and Lallana live together, he'd have a friend there.

Along with those two, if Pascal leaves, that’s 3 senior players gone.

Hopefully, we’ll have a couple of replacements coming in as that experience and leadership is going to be missed.

Would be a shame to see him go, not the greatest goalkeeper, but a competent goalkeeper and a solid backup who has always given his all for us and seems like a top guy.
If Southampton want him as their number 1, I can see him going but won't begrudge him for it. We have some other great prospects coming through.

Is Scherpen has gone to Sturm Graz on loan for the season so that rules him out of being 2/ choice.

Having started a thread about stroppy perma-sick-looking cry-baby Leandro Trossard, I thought I'd bump this thread - regarding a player who is the exact opposite, has had some rough times in his career and even here was being slaughtered at the arse end of last season.

As usual, he's just got on with it, doing the job the manager asked of him, and has been absolutely outstanding in both fixtures so far. He'll never be sold for a king's ransom, but he's a stand-in #2 keeper who rolls his sleeves up - absolutely priceless. He may not be the best keeper we'll ever see (indeed, he probably wouldn't feature in many people's top 10 Albion keepers), but he's so worthy of massive respect.

Two brilliant performances but also, as Potter and RDZ recognised, an absolute diamond in training, around the club, ambassador work and senior player management. Groß and Lallana may have gone but Steele, Dunk, Velts, Webby, Welbz, March and Milner represent a core of role models other EPL clubs (I’m looking at Kunty Chelsea) simply can’t match.

Cant disagree with any of that, a truly top bloke, fantastic character both in the squad and Albion in the Community, guess he'd be at the very top of every fans top ten for playing with his feet! But, cant say I'd disagree either on overall ability (not character), as the gloves have been a shortfall at times.

However, he's so good with his feet he gives you effectively a permanent sweeper in an eleven footballers team. Like the kid who was a good defender at school but always played rush goalie.

Counter that with Pickford. I was lucky enough to be near the front at Everton and managed to greet one of his hoofs on our side with 'thanks for the ball back - again'. I'd describe his look as sheepish.

Top 10 best Brighton keepers that would make a good thread. It would likely end up heated.

I don't think I've ever seen a keeper look so out of place as Pickford in the current England team when we try to do a bit of keep ball or play out from the back.

It's a fair bounce and I echo your comments

I'm sure he doesn't concern himself with some of the ridiculous comments on here and undoubtedly on twitter and i'm glad to see him get the credit for a great start to the season

I wonder if he may be benefitting from a more relaxed atmosphere around the club
