I'm sorry, i know that Hoppo is a great fielder, but his strike rate and one day record isn't good enough to call him a one day specialist. I would say that with Gatts and hamilton-brown coming good he will be under pressure to keep his place. If only we could transplant his fielding into a better batsman.

Hoppo continues to suffer unjustly from people perpetuating the myth that he is merely a good fielder and not a frontline batter. He has an excellent record of delivering the goods when it really matters - he needs backing and should be one of the first names on the teamsheet in all formats.
