The offending family were in my local after the game. Kids very excited about whole thing. Very young and very sweet, so jollied along with them in their excitement. Learnt from younger kid that half the family Chelsea/Brighton half and half supporters, and the other half Arsenal/Brighton half and half supporters. Lovely kids. Couldn’t bring myself to engage in any kind of conversation with the adults. They looked rather smug, but somehow.....somehow..... soulless?

He may be excellent but if your dream is to get Hazard's shirt then you're not a Brighton fan. Sod off to the away end if you're happy to bring your kid up like that.

Yes, agree entirely. A number of ‘new’ supporters today......

I'm fairly certain that the kid next to the kid with a sign had a chelsea badge on his coat. Anyway, who cares.

Bet half the people moaning about it on here also couldn't be bothered to go the Palace game, and I'm more annoyed about that than about some kid who likes Hazard getting his shirt.

We all know that loads of people in Sussex have come to support the big clubs whilst we were messing around in the bottom divisions, this won't change overnight. Getting them to be 50-50 Chelsea-Brighton is a damn good start, give it another decade or two and if we stay big our core support will grow.

We need to reduce the capacity and get back in the championship. Rather have a small passionate, loud and intimidating crowd than this family friendly corporate rubbish.

Can’t argue with that. Well said.

Can’t blame the children for being poorly educated ....

The palace game was superb though wasn't it?

12k committed Brighton nutters cheering on the lads against the enemy. Good service at the kiosks, brilliant getting out the car park. No downside as far as I'm concerned.

I thought he'd given it to a young Chelsea fan. I didn't realise it was a Brighton fan.

Same. Saw it on Sky and just assumed it was some lucky kid in the away end. Utter contempt if it happened in the East Stand. Tosser of a parent/guardian was creaming himself like he'd just got six numbers up on the lottery :tosser:

Hazard made that kid's day. Whilst the whole thing is a bit cringey, do you think the dad should be anything other than in good spirits to see his son so made up?

I never meant to compare this with a kid getting a Chelsea shirt, so my bad for going on a tangent.

However, I so disagree that you reckon that they are valid reasons.

In the second banning case, the guy had been a sth the ground opened, and has done the mileage for 47 years.

He has a bit of a mental disorder of which only effects him, in so much that a massive depression comes on when least expected, so can't socialise when this happens.

This was probably brought on by a mother dying and his marriage ending within the space of three months.

It was all explained by e mail and in person at The Amex.

How do I know this? Easy, it was myself.

Barber and his coldness can do one.

I'm sorry to hear that, and can understand your feelings.

What made it seriously cringey was that the dad was visibly more made up than the son was. 'Good spirits' doesn't even START to cover it.

He just witnessed something special happen for his son. Yeah, he should have turned his back in shame.
