GM’s final game , he won’t be dropping down to league 1. He will be doing much more punditry work on radio & tv .

Also, not to appear a club licker but a genuine question; how many other Prem clubs have a Chief Executive you can email who responds near immediately?!

I’d put good money on ‘none’.

PB’s responsiveness to fans emailing him is incredible.

On GM17, his open letter to the fans when he left for Forest talked about wanting the opportunity to say a proper goodbye. Twice.

It’s bound to happen, just a matter of how and when...

Isn’t it 10 years service that automatically qualifies. I think there are exceptional circumstances, such as Bruno, but that was still more of a friendly.

There is no kind of rule like that. The clubs decide it, and while somewhere around 10 seasons is usually what is required to get one, there's plenty of exceptions to that.

Glenns eight Brighton seasons, close to 100 goals, scoring 20+ goals in two promotion seasons as well as playing a major part in helping the club stay in the PL for the two first seasons... think he should qualify for a farewell testimonial.

True. We could give him a job though. There was a little glimpse of his thought process when analysing one of Welbeck's runs at half time on Sunday. Imparting that nous about how to find space where there isn't any to our young strikers could be invaluable.

I totally agree, I was thinking that when watching MOTD. Wouldn’t even need to be full time if he does want a media career.

Testimonials for today's pros should benefit charitable causes of the recipient's choice.

Back in the day it gave the potential pub owner a kick-start.

Lewis Dunk should qualify if that’s the case, and hasn’t played for any other team.

Yes,give glenn a testimonial.
He deserves one anyway but the covid empty ground situation means he has been denied any sort of send off at his last game so it makes the case for a special match even stronger I reckon.
We also have a growing list of players and a manager who were legends and we never got to give a send off so maybe we can incorporate them into the testimonial too.

An opportunity for one last “not clapping the fans” moment :lolol:

Yes, it would be great to have CH, Glenn and a few others back for a friendly. I’d pay good money to see that.

That wasnt goodbye to Forest or any particular team, that was plain for all to see that was goodbye to playing. I would have liked to have been inside Glens head as he walked to the centre ciircle. He was gazing at the arena, the terraces, the seats, well yes the supporters and the noise. Not a sad day for him really just a thankful goodbye to the sport who payed him well & what he loved playing. I wonder what memories were at the forefront of his mind at that time. He probably wouuld not tell anyone just so he did not offend any of the supporters who were not part of that memory. True professional 'our' Glen and he was pretty good at football too.:clap2:

According to wiki, Muzza scored 202 goals. Strikers mention the euphoric moment of scoring and turning to supporters as the best feeling.

He’s also saying goodbye to that buzz.

But what a career.

Would be more than happy if he could have some future input with us in terms of helping our forwards if he did want to go into coaching. If not I expect we'll see a fair bit of him on the TV as a pundit. Great servant to the game.

Not sure players these days who have played at the level of Glenn need a testimonial any more. After the years he spent in the Prem, he should already be made for life.

It’s as much for us as it is for him because we want to give him a big send off ...whether it’s a testimonial or not ..I hope we get the chance to show our appreciation
