But he wasn't, and we won another 3 points away from home, meaning that we're nearly safe in the Premier League again.
How's your season going?
Much better now we have a proper manager. Thanks for asking. .

Yes massive mistake letting him go but I'm not sure Poyet could have done much about it if Bloom and co weren't prepared to match Palace's offer. The kind of thing that I'm sure got the words ceiling forming in his head.
Revisionist nonsense. Murray wanted more money, but it was Poyet's call whether we paid it. He was asked outright "is Murray worth paying £x/week". Poyet decided he was not.
Getting massively found out at the higher level. Marked out the game, and 3 fouls within 30mins, on a yellow and final warning.
Spot on.
Murray wanted to stay, not wanting to travel and he was settled in Brighton, and wanted £6k per week wages. Poyet, and Poyet alone, made it a cause celebre not to concede, and the rest is history. To put the £6k in perspective, CMS joined on £11k per week in the very same transfer window.

And to add to the other plaudits, he was the best performing Premier League player of the weekend, according to the EA Sports Player Performance Index
Glenn Murray beats Wayne Rooney Philippe Coutinho Premier League's best performing player weekend
Massively found out, my derrière.
Basically a shoe-in for the B'allon D'or next season then. :ffsmurray:
Look at all the stats you want, but watch the actual game, how far off the pace he was and the silly fouls he was making shows he isn't cut out for the Premier League, especially given his age now. Great Championship player though

Jamie Redknapp doesn't appear to agree with your analysis.
"At Upton Park he looked every inch a top-flight striker. His movement was good, he held the ball up well and though he was lucky with his first goal, his second was top class."
"Yes, he tainted his day with a silly red card, but he looked like he was loving every minute. He deserves it."

It is funny how Palace can go into administration twice and, within months of exiting their second administration, whilst still a Championship club, afford to pay Glenn Murray a lot more money than we, a well-run club, could.
