Poyet is too stubborn, I don't think Murray would be accepted back by enough people. Maybe if he walked into the Amex for his first game and burnt a palace shirt, he would be.

He's done nothing to burn his bridges though. He's still friends with many of the albion players, he came to the Amex for a visit pre last season and had was shown round, he didn't 'do a Hammond' when he scored against us, and he still lives in Brighton.

I love how slowly over time it's gone from:

He was ALRIGHT in his first 2 seasons then finally put a BIT of a shift in the final one to win a contract.

He had moments of madness during those first 2 seasons, but he was still VERY GOOD overall. And then he was phenomenal in the final season when everything was clicking. He was NOT shit by any stretch of the imagination in the first two seasons. Frustrating, yes. Shit, no.

Would love Murray back

These. Showed plenty of class when scoring the 3rd for Palace. Absolutely refused to celebrate.

Must've been SO tempting to give some back to the f***ing mongs in our crowd who abused him when he was one of our best players, for "being a bit shy and that".

He would fit in well with our style of play. Good in the air, a good target man, scores goals and would be a good foil for CMS, if he can leave his ego at Selhurst. It would just oik me to hand over any money to Palace!

I don't know the exact people but I've seen a slow re-adjustment of history on here where people have referred to him as being "shit" for the first two seasons with us.

Update: just seen above I didn't totally complete the initial post, as it doesn't scan. Can't be bothered to edit.

Would be a perfect foil for CMS in my opinion.

Before he scored against us I hated him with a passion but showed real class with not celebrating when you consider I've never heard that much abuse being directed at one player before.
