Growing old disgracefully

If you go back to the start of the season just gone, this board was filled with posters who wanted a new striker to come in, who were convinced that Murray was not the man to get us 20 goals. His previous record gave little indication that he was going to be prolific, albeit injuries played a part.

Wouldn't it be HORRENDOUS if last season turned out to be his absolute peak, the one glorious season of his entire career :lolol:

Indeed it would, edna. Funnily enuff, I have a feeling it could well be the case. Scenes of a tragic nature.

I've noticed that Crystal Palace haven't actually managed to sign anyone yet. I wonder what the hold up is?

I also think that Barnes will do well, thanks, 20 goals in his first full senior year at the age of 21. Double numbers would be a good haul for him next year I expect.

You have to have sympathy for Palace fans, they're so used to being a joke that they don't realise when they are being stupid.

He scores on average a goal every 2.5 games consistently so keep him fit and he will do fine.

Not sure the homophobic crap was necessary to get a response though

Personally I think Murray was right to leave, I mean have you seen where he was expected to play next season? That beautiful jewel of a stadium that our beloved chairman paid for in cash? His agent and he knew: he was destined for smoky, run-down places. How DARE anyone think he was worthy to play there!!

afternoon benders, how do you think your 20+ goalscorer will fair in the championship next season???

Murray is unproven at this level, he will be one of the highest paid in the dressing room, he takes his time to settle in and has a tendency to sulk when things don't go his way. Good player though!

My question to you is how patient are you? If you, his new colleagues and his new employers have patience you will see some of what your paying for!
