Murray behaved like a child and if I were Slade he would receive the maximu fine and be reporting for training at 9a.m. and not leaving until 530 pm everyday. the fact he wants to leave is fine, he and his family want to live somewhere else. that is not a problem.

However he has signed a contract, and he should leave with dignity, and not as a childish little kid. He showed dissent and insolence to Slade and the customers / fans that pay for his contract.

Its odd also, he is a good player (or best player) but his arrogance is greater than his championship / div one ability.

The stick he took after his little childish sulk was not a surprise, and probably what his agent wanted. However if I was Bloom, I would have him before me 9.a.m. morning and tell him that after his little incident, his transfer fee has just risen by 50K and that he had better not even think of trying to get into battle with the club.

Dunno if this is the "official" Murray thread, but can't be arsed to check the others.

1. He made a deliberate walk towards the away end ignoring the rest of the team. Whether or not the huddle had technically formed by this point was irrelevent, he had chosen to distance himself from his teammates.

2. He deliberately walked towards the fans, who applauded him as he did so, before at the last minute turning away. It was clearly a calculated move to wind up the fans, and I wonder how many minutes on the pitch he had wasted thinking it up.

3. There was a TINY amount of chanting by fans to do with his Mrs. Whilst I don't agree with it, it was such a f***ing minority I doubt he even heard it to be honest, I barely did. And I refuse to believe that his reaction was a spur-of-the-moment one to it, it seemed so planned out.

There was a good reaction when he came on. I was also to the left of the goal on the lower tier and heard no booing. Ultimately, the guy has no interest in the club that paid a lot of money for him. What makes it more frustrating is that I've seen him play a lot and he's not actually that good.

A load of people talk about the fact that he scored 12 goals last year before January or whatever. But we won only 5 league games in that period and were in the sh*t pretty early on. The guy scores the odd goal. But he wins virtually nothing in the air, has no pace and very rarely creates anything on his own and gets caught offside so much that it puts us under pressure all over the place. He's not very good. Anyone who says he is, is blinded by the odd goal or hasn't seen him play, or knows nothing about the game.

Get him OUT. He's not worth the attention or agro that he got today.

I still don't understand how people can question Glenn Murray's ability. He may not be the quickest but he is probably our best player when he can be bothered. I would not play him again after yesterday but to say he is not acually that good is wrong. Personally I am gutted it has come to this because I think he is a fantastic player and it will be a huge blow to lose him.

One point not covered however, was that before the game - when the players strolled onto the field from the dressing room for the 'pitch inspection' - every single player turned to acknowledge the travelling support, except one.

I think I understand why they all do that now, and I don't think its out of appreciation to the crowd and all that. After seeing here today what happens when they don't wave, they are probably too scared to NOT do it. Which rather ruins the point for me.

Took a mate to the game yesterday who is a West Ham supporter. He couldn't believe Murray's attitude at the final whistle. The fact that he walked towards the goal and instead of acknowledging the fans, had a word withLewis Price made his action that much more of a "f!!! You!!!" statement.
Remember he did the same at Swansea, striding directly off the pitch at the final whistle when everyone else came down to the corner flag.
Not good for the team or the club. If no one wants to buy Glenn for the price we want, we must loan him out.

the only song i heard about mrs murray was started by me...something i now regret! However, 'dump the wife' was (i think) clearly a) a joke, and b) suggesting that we want Murray to stay!! I certainly didn't hear her called a slag or any other insults.

He is my favourite player, but after yesterday, sadly, he has to go.

Look, I don't particularly care if the players wave or not, and I certainly don't expect them all to be as passionate as Elphick, but when the crowd are chanting your name and giving you a rousing ovation and you are:
a) walking towards them
b) have to walk past them to go down the tunnel
c) no more than 10 f***ing yards in front of them
then I expect, yes expect, that player to acknowledge that. It takes little or no effort, which, ironically, is what Murray put in in yesterday anyway.

i am a big murray fan but am totally pissed off with him and couldnt care less if the arrogant git never wears the strips again !
i left home at 7 this morning and got back at 10.30 last nite yet he blatantly ignored us ! i was glad he got the reception he did when he come on and was convinced when he walked up to the away end he was coming to build bridges with the fans but by making shaking price's hand in front of us then ignoring us and walking straight off he deserved and heckling he got when he come back on.He knew what he was doing no doubt about that !

I accept that Murray appears to be behaving less than perfectly, and that this situation is different and worthy of criticism. Maybe even serious action. I am also well aware of the tendency of this place to go mental over small issues, but the anger flooding the place right now over this is quite frankly WEIRD. Does this happen at other clubs?

I remember the same thing happening after the leeds game when he got all the stick for not chasing Delph. He was forgiven quickly as it transpired that he was injured - maybe there was a problem with attitude last year.

Were all the matches he missed due to injury ? Wasn't there yesterday but appears to me like there is an offer we we have rejected and he has spat his dummy out.

Am I the only one who thinks more is being made of this than necessary? I was never Murray's biggest supporter, but I completely understand why he wants away.

So he didn't come over and applaud the fans, is it really that big a deal? Are you all so delicate that you need that acknowledgement from every player even if they don't genuinely mean it? The whole idea of players applauding theirs fans is overblown. It's an empty gesture made out of habit.
