Because he's an arse who happens to play well (according to most people), whatever.

This despite EVERYONE who meets him saying he's a top bloke.

There's been so much BOLLOCKS spoken on this board in the last few days.

I didn't mean as a person, I meant as a player, i.e. an arse for not applauding people. Should have clarified, I too hear nothing bad about him from people who have met the guy.

I am sure you are a top bloke, but you are not taking money under false pretence and hopefully not upsetting your customers in the process.

False pretenses? He is paid to train and play football. He trains and plays football. According to most people, he noticeably improved the team when he came on. What is false about that?

He has been here nearly what 18 months? How many full games has he played in that time, say compared to Andy Whing, Dean Cox or Adam Virgo.

How injured have they been? How many goals have they scored?Injury is a risk of the occupation. Everyone involved in football knows this, they knew it when they signed him.

How DARE he get injured? That's a disgrace, that is.

When he plays, he's class and scores.

He has too many injuries for my liking and I worked with many people who had too many sick days to be true.

He's had TWO injuries.

The first one was aggravated by Adams bringing him back too early, as he did with Hawkins.

I've had to say the above sentence SO many times. Tempted to put it in my signature.

Sorry about that.

From now on, any brighton player is limited to how many injuries they can have, and must have their injuries okayed by fosters headband before hand.

How many full games has he played since he has been here?

The thing is though, if he does his job well he comes off. He starts we play well, go 2-0 up, ten minutes left we take of the forward bring on a defender to shore up and see the game out.

Sometimes the team tactics work sometimes they don't and we needs to change things up and so he comes off because he's not suitable in the eyes of the manager for what he wants to try.

Sometimes the line up/tactics are in response to the opponents whetehr we're home or away and whether Murray is suited to those tactics.

Sometimes it's simply down to the manager's choice.

Let me put it another way, you are a manager with 300k to spend, would you buy him with his record?

Would I buy him? Depends on what type of player I was after He has a goal record that averages out as almost one every other game. Would be worth the investment, I'd say.

League games only:
Adam Virgo 123 games 12 goals since 30/6/00 (0.07 goals per game)
Dean Cox 114 games 13 goals since 01.07.04 (0.12 goals/game)
Andrew Whing 84 games, 0 goals since 7/6/07 (0.00 goals per game)
Glenn Murray 38 games, 19 goals since 29/1/08 (0.33 goals per ganme)
