Well said.

Light years away from being ready for Chelski. Much to learn, and I hope Gus has, and in his private thoughts about Murray and CMS is NOT too arrogant to admit to himself that he made two blunders. CMS is not an outright disaster, but a fee of about £1m should have been the maximum.

The fee isn't the problem, it's weekly wages.

Are you stupid?

The point that Poyet f***ed up over Murray and has spent a LOT of money trying to give the Albion a promotion challenging strike force with, to date, no success.

That's nothing to do with Wood.

And now it looks like Gus has done it again with Dobbie.can't believe we are helping Palace to promotion.why the f*** didn't he give Dobbie a run in the team in his best position?

Look at it another way, without us their one man team wouldn't be anywhere near the play offs

And Murray's. We offered Murray a contract which he turned down because Palace offered him 70% more weekly wage than we did + 3 years instead of 2.

Do you think Palace are over-paying the scoringest striker in English football?

He wasn't last season when they were paying him the same amount. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. There is no guarantee that he would have scored the same number of goals for us, had he stayed.

Irrelevant because it is irrelevant to your argument.

Here you go, respond to this one then...

Poyet f***ed up royally with Murray, that much has been clear for well over a year now.

Since then he has spent a lot of money on our forward line - CMS, Hoskins, Dobbie and now Ulloa. He's also dabbled in the loan market.

But at our level, decisions have to be made and gambles taken. We don't have the money of a Man City and the ability to keep a squad of highly paid players in reserve just in case.

If Ulloa fails to impress though, Poyet's lack of judgement with strikers could be his downfall at the Albion.

All the nice footwork in and around the box is worth nothing when the ball doesn't cross the line. It took him a while to reach the fitness levels required , anyone who saw him come on as a sub at Derby noticed how slow and clumsy he was. He only made 15 appearances , 10 of them as a sub. 2 goals , one of which was a penalty. On the pitch there are 11 players in the team , it only takes one not to put in any effort and it all falls apart.

So why did he buy him?

Desperation buy because it looked like we would lose CMS on deadline day. We never intended to have both.

Murrays an absolute bargain beating in mind the wages Leicester and Cardiff will be spending on their strikers.

Ulloa must be the last straw for Gus, if he doesn't do it for us then I can see Bloom asking himself if he can trust Gus with any more money.

I know the exact figures. Never believe the large figures which some NSC or Palace forum users say Murray is paid.
Palace do not and cannot afford to pay large wages.

Murray wanted £6k a week from the Albion, which would have been his last contract possibly. And contrary to popular lies, he was happy down here. A shy bloke, he's not into gleaming smiles.

That is nothing in the Championship for a striker.

We would all agree that currently the Albion pay far more to the following:
Buckley
CMS
Bridge
Vicente
Orlandi
Kuzchak
Bruno
Hammond
Crofts
Ulloa

When Poyet decided Murray wasn't Championship class, the Amex income streams were well in place.

Boils down to a major Poyet blunder.

The Guardian has reported Murray is on £13K a week at Palace.

So why did he buy him?

Norwich were trying to snap up CMS on deadline day , I think with Dobbie it was a last minute panic buy replacement scenario. In the end CMS didn't go.

If Ulloa fails to impress, I would agree with you. I assume that is the question?

Gus said he had been after Ulloa for 18 months but the work permit regulations had held things up. He also pointed out that European players expect less weekly wages and that English players were too expensive.

No, there's no question there.

The question was whether you believe Palace are overpaying Murray.

Who is this 'one man' you refer to? Zaha? Bolasie? Jedinak? Murray? Speroni? Parr? Williams?
