Littlehampton,Wick actually
A bit of encouragment goes a long, way, always cheer on any player who plays for the super seagulls, but, for every action there is a reaction,so,its down to GM to give us his action,in the way he feels fit.

We should cheer anyone playing for us. Did a player ever play better for believing the fans, or a section of them, hate him?
He is a classy forward. We want full value from him when he plays for us and top dollar if and when he moves on: both much more likely if he is supported by the fans.

Murray: I just want to play

GLENN Murray has broken his silence over his Albion future and declared: “I just want to play.”

The unsettled striker is on the comeback trail from a second double hernia operation this year.

He scored for the reserves at Gillingham yesterday and the former Rochdale marksman accepts his immediate future lies with the Seagulls.

Murray, speaking for the first time since asking for a move in the summer, said: “I can’t go anywhere. There was a transfer request, I met the chairman and spoke to the manager and the situation got resolved.

“Is there such a thing as a transfer list when the window is not open? I’m not sure. It is now about getting back to full fitness and playing football. I just want to play.”

Murray has not started a first-team match since March and has not featured at senior level since appearing as a substitute in the first three games of the season.

The highly rated 26-year-old had a second double hernia operation recently after surgery in Germany earlier this year.

He said: “We’ve just gone down a different route. The first route didn’t work out. It was a glue-based technique.

“We don’t know whether it didn’t work or whether I had another hernia. There is that much scar tissue down there you cannot tell.

“I went to Leicester for the latest operation, to a guy called David Lloyd, and he uses mesh. Andrew Whing’s had the same operation and hopefully this one will work.

“This is the most I have played in nine or ten months now so that is positive. I have just got to keep on pushing forward.

“Obviously, I am going to be sore, having two double hernia operations in the space of six months.

“I have got to get through that period and then hopefully in time I won’t feel any pain. I have got to get back to my best.

“These are the first major injuries I’ve ever had and it has been very frustrating, especially with the rumours going around that I wanted to move back north and things like that.

“They added fuel to the fire, which wasn’t a good thing, but now I want to prove to everyone that I just want to play football.

“I’ll have to wait my turn, because Nicky (Forster) and Liam (Dickinson) are doing well. I’ve got to bide my time and take my chance when it comes along.”

Meanwhile, Albion moved out of the bottom four last night without playing.

Leyton Orient slipped into the relegation zone on goal difference after conceding a fourth goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time to lose 4-0 away to Norwich.

Jamie Cureton’s injury-time strike for the Canaries was enough to drop the O’s below the Seagulls.

In the clash of two other sides below Albion, Tranmere recorded only their second win of the season as they triumphed 1-0 away to Wycombe. Ian Thomas-Moore got the only goal.

Bottom side Southampton lost 3-2 at home to Bristol Rovers while MK Dons, who visit Withdean on Saturday, went down 2-1 at Oldham.

Hmm

Pros from the article - He seems to suggest that thoughts of him wanting to move back north were simply rumours, and did not come from him.

Cons - He doesn't suggest anywhere about committing to the Albion.

All the right words coming out of his mouth, but Naylor is not exactly 'edgy' in his interviewing technique is he?

Naylor should have got this 'rumour' squashed when it first surfaced.

Murray by his own inactions has to win over a fair few Seagull fans, let's hope that comes quickly with him doing what he is well rewarded to do.

Then , maybe, we can all be friends again. :)

If they don't want to move back up north why did he hand in a transfer request?

Also I wonder why the Argus didn't ask him about what happened at Brentford, would have been interesting to hear his thoughts on it.

Glen sorry who? Oh yeah Glen er Murray. Not exactly Gotsmanov, Ward, Lawrenson, Foster or Case quality is he. So no idea where he gets his attitude from. He signed a contract and so he must stop whinging and get on with it until someone wants to buy him. However he is clearly one of our better players of the current crop at the moment so muted support seems in order so we get the best out of the childish little sod.
