Really didn't see that one coming. How long as he been out of League football? Few years no?

I think he was quite a good manager if a bit weird but that would be a brave move imo

He's the favourite for the job, therefore he is the one person we can probably rule out of getting it.

He's been running a coaching academy for out of work players looking for a club, so it's not like he's been poncing around away from the game.

He's still a great coach, even if his managment skills are questionable, would be a decent appointment.

Do you not think the one time he did it was enough then?

Just the way you phrased it mate. As if he's always doing it.

His foot in mouth moment was connected to his religous beliefs, and questioning someone into a corner about things within their religion can always throw up some things that do not sit well in modern society. He shouldn't have allowed himself to go down that particular alley, but I see absolutely no reason to think he hasn't learned the lesson from his one mistake.

If you read it again, there is no allusion to repetition. I just asked how long it would be until he put his foot in it. He can't be that bright, as an at the time England manager, to express the views he did. I just reckon he will put his foot in it...

"Will" and "before" are all alluding to the future. If he only ever does it the once, and that's back in his England days, then I don't understand what you were saying.

Did you mean, "how long before someone drags up that old quote and hounds him out of this job as well" because that wasn't how I read it, tbh, because that wasn't what you said.

He'd be a great appointment, always good tactically, maybe in the last decade he's also learn to talk to people...
