What's he been drinking? it's like watching a completely different player, i think he's begining to look like a £300,000 player, just at the right time aswell. Couldn't be more happier with his turn around.

Also Fans today...Amazing i lost my voice before i got to the game.

He was brilliant today but don't get carried away...

and at Wycombe, he seems like a new player he runs for the ball alot more, today he was coming back and helping the defenders clearing the ball ot to forster, his whole game has changed so yes i do think its something to get carried away with, he has the ability to be as good as Zamora.

He has put a lot of work in too in the past, but it's noticeable now that he appears much quicker... so you'd guess he's been crocked to some extent or another from the moment he arrived, and the recent op has finally got him fully fit. Whatever, he's a class act. Just hope he can finally settle in the area because he really could be a legend.

The difference is, he is now fit again and has not been mis-diagnosed, rushed back or similar!

Long live Glenn Murray :)

Spot on. There's no magical transformation. Anyone with half a brain can see he's always been a class player.

I think NOT.

If 'super' Ricky Lambert is worth £1,000,000, then comparing the two yesterday, Murray is starting to look liek a hell of a lot more than 'a £300,000 player'...

From the moment Glenn Murray took Crewe apart on his debut, he's looked every bit the player Dean Wilkins thought he was, and he's an inspired signing. He's a top quality striker for this level who can play higher than this, and he's one of the absolute KEY members of the squad as far as I am concerned. If you genuinely want to get out of league 1 then you need players who are already Championship quality and in Murray, we have one. In my opinion, Tunnicliffe, Dicker, Bennett and Dickinson are all Championship players aswell, comfortably. Our squad is alot stronger than people seem to realise.

To be fair, mr Mellotron, I do rate Dickinson quite highly. I think he's still adjusting to the club and to the league, remember he didn't play for Derby at all last season so he's not exactly had the best preparation before coming here and playing just about every match. I think he's got a good touch, good spatial awareness and a decent finish on him. He's looked promising to me so far, and I think that come the end of the season he will have looked a good signing and a quality player. The only thing that concerns me is that he might be a little bit similar in style to Glenn Murray, and I don't really see those two working well as a partnership. But that remains to be seen, having 2 quality strikers without even mentioning Forster isn't a position I thought we'd be in to be honest.

Have a think why that might've been.....:glare:

I think he's got a good touch,

You clearly didn't see his first touch last night.:lolol:

good spatial awareness and a decent finish on him.

He knows how to avoid a header and dive VERY unconvincingly, so yes good awareness in that respect. 50% of his goals have been massive deflections/terribly sliced shots, so not sure where you got "good finisher" from.

The only thing that concerns me is that he might be a little bit similar in style to Glenn Murray, and I don't really see those two working well as a partnership.

Agreed with second part of that paragraph, still slightly amused by the first half. Like comparing Heskey and Bergkamp, couldn't be more different.

But that remains to be seen, having 2 quality strikers without even mentioning Forster isn't a position I thought we'd be in to be honest.

I wouldn't call Craig Davies quality yet, but he will be. Dickinson 4th choice please.

Hmm..

Forster, Dickinson, Murray and Davies are all better than most of the strikers we had when we were in the Championship, why can't just accept they all bring something different and no doubt all will get their chances over the season. We are not light on striker power for a change, why not just enjoy them instead of slagging any of them off. I'm happy with all 4, I have my preferences but strength in depth up front is something we haven't had for years.

Clearly, you have a different point of view on him and that's fair enough. We'll have to agree to disagree. His first touch last night was DREADFUL, I have to conceed that. :lolol: But he made up for that I thought.... sort of. He wasn't great last night but he was playing wide left, and a left winger he most certainly is not. Strange decision that was, I thought. It came off in the end, but it could have been a recipe for disaster.

I agree with Icy Gull's post above, they all bring somethind different and it's good to finally have 4 good strikers in the squad. Murray and Forster are clearly the best individually of the bunch, but you need to have other options.

I don't want to slag any of them off, I just really don't rate Dickinson compared to some on here. I'll leave it there.

I think it is obvious to see that Murray is a class above Dickinson.

Never liked Dickinson and would much prefer Murray and Forster starting, with Davies and Hart as impact subs...

If Murray keeps banging in the goals fantastic but he's putting himself in the shop window for a move back up north in January. The more money we get for him the better.

Dickinson has looked good in patches needs to get a bit of consistency though. Would like to see him up top with Murray as I think they will complement each other Dickinson is not a target man and likes to be on the shoulder of the last defender where as Murray can and does drop to get the ball as well as winning headers. But having said that Murray and Forster ripped apart a supposedly good defence yesterday so think we might leave it like that for a few games!
