because the Glazers saddled the club with huge debts, failed to invest in infrastructure and made some very poor strategic investments over the years - doesn‘t the club deserve better? I think the FA deserves better.
Tbh I am surprised nobody agrees with that! They also spear-headed the idea of a breakaway Superleague ffs.

Surely the only way we can compete with clubs like Man Utd on a regular basis is if they are mismanaged?.

Manchester United have not been starved of money, they have not been left to rot, their ground has not been sold from beneath their feet, they have not suffered from a lack of investment causing them to plummet through the leagues….

Well that’s your opinion and you are entitled to it - thousands of Man U fans would disagree with you - I lived in Manchester (Hume) for several years and while I didn’t turn my back on the Albion as my ‘hometown’ club, I became quite a fan of Alex Ferguson‘s management of the club and enjoyed watching them play - I have felt a little sad watching the decline. As for the FA, a Superleague would have had repercussions right the way down the pyramid not just the PL and have been a potential death knoll for lower league clubs, so no, the Glazers efforts to spearhead a breakaway of the top 6, would not have been good for the whole of English league football imo. I’ll not be the only one glad to see them out of English football.

Look I get now that people on here hate Man U as a club but I don’t think I am ’wrong’ to want them to do better than they have been lately in terms of performance or have better owners because that’s just my personal opinion coming from the background I do of having a previous connection to Manchester - I ‘tourist’ supported them for several years while living in Manchester which was some of the best times of my life (for other reasons!) - Several members of my close family are long term Man U supporters (and they are not ‘twats’ and of course they want the club to do well and would be glad to see the Glazers go (which at this stage is still only a possibility) - I certainly wouldn’t even have mentioned my antipathy to the Glazers it if I‘d known it would kick up a hornets nest of envy and bitterness - and I am not saying people are ‘wrong’ to want Man U to spectacularly fail and get even worse owners than they do now - but at the end of the day it’s just people’s opinions . It is possible btw to have supported more than one team over the years or at least still prefer one team to 3 or 4 others in the top 6/7 I could mention. It is also reasonable but entirely unrealistic to want to see the PL free of filthy rich owners who don’t give a shit about the game such as the Glazer family - setting healthy tribalism aside for a moment, and speaking objectively, I think the sport/professional football deserves better. We have been incredibly lucky in recent years to have an owner like TB who is first and foremost a fan of the club. And I am first and foremost an Albion fan and always will be - it’s in my blood.

I understand the anti-Man Ure sentiment expressed by many posters, but don’t understand those who openly wish another petrochemical state or US billionaire ownership on them. If we want football to get better, we need better owners in the game.

It’s openly hypocritical to on one hand bemoan the influx of foreign investment at many clubs, and then wish it on another PL club.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d still like to see a bit more humility from Man U fans, and a long spell as lower/mid table team should achieve that, but I can’t agree with those wishing a petrochemical state or US billionaire on them.

Well NUFC was only £300m (probably a similar valuation to buy us), to me that's a good price. Huge potential, there no reason they couldn't do another Cheslea
