Sorry but Rap is just not for me.

Found myself switching to Sky Arts and watching The Pink Floyd documentary on the making of the Dark Side Of The Moon. Again I accept not to everyones tastes but for me growing up in the 60's and 70's this was a remarkable piece of music when first released on Harvest Records. I still have my original vinyl signed by Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters thanks to my old man who had a contact with Abbey Road Studios back in the early 70's. The sleeve has seen better days but the record still plays beautifully.

I may be 56 but quite enjoying Stormzy, especially his take on some 80's club hits with some authentic funky guitar.
He is becoming one of my favourite contemporary entertainers.

Odd, almost muted atmosphere for a headline act. A huge number of people there and it feels like everybody is on his side as he comes across a very humble man who is genuinely thrilled to be playing the stage. But very little coming back from the crowd it terms of a reaction, given the numbers.

Hope it cranks up a bit.

I'm enjoying it but it's not a headline act, this spot is usually a huge name, banging it out and whipping the crowd up into a frenzy.
I am sure it going to rack up as it goes though.

Kiwanuka is great. Love and Hate is one of my (all three of us at home, actually) favourite albums of the decade. We get to see him headlining at End of the Road too.
