I'd say their earlier stuff was more rock based, but probably more skewed towards pop, genres are very hard to define now. I wouldn't say they've been that pushed by radio, but then again, I'm not sure how any band these days is meant to be successful without any radio airplay. Very popular with everyone aged under 30 odd. Multiple nights at the O2 and Finsbury Park sold out, its nice to see someone not within the old tired headliners we've all seen 100 times before, Glastonbury is very good at that IMO, it can't be the same roundtable of Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys again and again.
Yeah I suppose, I had 1975 in the same catagory as Blossoms and Catfish and the Bottlemen, that kind of garbage

Charli XCX can feel a little hard done by not to be headlining, given her stratospheric rise this last 12 months. I wonder if this was being booked a little later whether they would've gone for her in the Olivia slot.

Didn't get tickets this year so I can safely declare this lineup to be shitehouse.

These are a bad lineup.

Etc.

Would love to have been there for TV on the Radio :(
Careful, the Glasto 'I've been 12,000 times' snobs will be along any minute to patronise you

People keep telling me she's massive/huge/colossal etc etc, but theres still tons of tickets available to see her in london this summer. Though its hard to equate ticket sales with crowds at festivals, ive no idea who is huge and going to draw a huge crowd, and who isnt . . .

Good line up with poor Pyramid headliners. Got some real coups lower down on the list.

Probably a perfect line up for attending rather than watching on the BBC.

£97 a ticket in Victoria Park (50,000+ capacity) and she's already on tier 5 (out of 6 tiers/batches I believe - only Raye has sold more for Victoria Park this summer so far and she's subbing the Pyramid). She's just won a bunch of awards and completed a sell out arena tour in the UK and has sold out in the US (floor resale tickets going at $800 each for Brooklyn).

She's not my cup of tea, but she's MASSIVE and could easily be headlining the Pyramid.

I think its pretty good, I can definitely get a good 30/40 acts that I would want to see out of that poster, Friday looks a little thin though I'll admit.

Yeah the number of times I have turned up early somewhere thinking it will be absolutely rammed due to creating a bubble in my head that doesn't exist, to find 5 people loitering about is unreal.

Love a bit of Charlie XCX though and she will draw a massive Glasto crowd.

Personally I reckon Charli XCX and Olivia Rodrigo will be great headliners, they're both used to making stadium shows work as solo artists so ought to put on a good show, TBH I'm a little surprised they haven't got Taylor Swift instead of one of them but maybe she said No

I think when you at how much she's earning of the Eras tour, she'll never do festivals again.

Would love to see:
RAYE (she’s phenomenally talented live, which I discovered from the Alert Hall show)!
Blossoms
CMAT
Fatboy Slim
Self Esteem
Wolf Alice
Neil Young
Charlie XCX
Kaiser Chiefs

Not fused by but won’t leave:
The 1975
Lola Young
Wet Leg (love their recorded stuff but poor live)
Snow Patrol
Jade
Noah Khan
The Prodigy
Nile Rogers & Chic

Plus there’s the hidden sets and cameo artists. Rumours of Fontains DC which I think will win over a lot of new fans!

Seems there’s this sort of line-up panning every Glasto. But the people there never seem to care and I’m sure the BBC will get their viewers.
