[Music] Glastonbury 2024

As a volunteer i'm chuffed to bits with the lineup, cos there's no must-sees (who could potentially be knackered by me having a shift during their set) but there's loads of 'id fancy a bit of that' so i can breeze around seeing good things and deciding what i fancy at the time. TBF the Truth stage is where its at for me anyways, and thats not announced just yet . . .

Fairly underwhelming headliners. Sure Coldplay put on a good show and all that, but jeez four times topping the bill is getting dull. Dua Lipa, yeah, ok - not thrilling but fine. SZA, meh - wouldn’t have been on many people’s dream acts list I imagine.

I briefly walked post the Mongolian Band last year (name escapes) but they certainly seemed impressive.
When it comes to the song lyrics of Mongolian bands, there's always prose and khans.

The thing is, if you’re there, which I will be, it’s good news that the headliners are not to my taste.

The Pyramid is my least favourite stage. I’ll be spending very little time there.

Have you seen Heilung?

Look like they will put on a performance but it would be a shame if they played in daylight which I assume they will.

Crikey. Thanks for this. Never heard of them before today but have started listening.

Mu only disappointment is they are from a small provincial UK town, it would be much more fun if they were from Milton Keynes and doing this stuff.

Best headliners ever?? That seems to be the consensus on X formerly known as Twitter. Other than the god awful Coldplay it's an all female line up which is brilliant, let's hope for a genuinely all female line up next year.

You know when you read a post, go "what?!" then move your eyes across and see who posted it.

This happens far too often.

It’s advisable to take a fleece as it gets cold at night. Primavera it isn’t.

Being serious. That list is just a the main stuff, there’s literally hundreds of other bands on over the weekend. I have said before, if you go to Glastonbury and can’t find anything you like you’re not really into music.

We saw Cyndi Lauper on the acoustic stage a few years back. One of the best gigs I've ever been to. I'll be interested to see how she comes across on the pyramid. Genuine artist.

For me

1. Arctic Monkeys 2007
2. Radiohead 2017
3. The Who 2015

I love Glastonbury but that has to be the worst line ever ever. Sunday headliner has to be the weakest ever, laughable

Personally SZA is one of the most exciting headliners they have had for years. Sign of the festival moving with the times as there's only so many times you can wheel out these heritage acts.

From rumours online it seems that they were forced into it though. Emily said that there would be parity of male and female with two female headliners. One of those was meant to be Madonna but she pulled out, so they shifted SZA from headlining Other Stage to the Pyramid Stage and then Idles to headline Other Stage.

They should have never booked Coldplay again though.

You should have stopped with that.
