Her voice is shot, sadly (as she used to be a serious singer). Maybe as someone said earlier, Lyme disease took its toll. Jolly show though
Nearly died from Covid, but COVID hasn't been the only health crisis she suffered. In 2003, she contracted Lyme disease after getting bitten by a tick while horseback riding. For many years, Twain's voice faded. It was eventually confirmed that her voice changed as a result of the disease.

In 2011, she endured two open-throat procedures where Gore-Tex rods were inserted to stabilize her throat. While both operations were successful, Twain was hesitant to use her voice. After she had the surgery, she was petrified to make a sound. She didn't know what was going to come out.

To quote 'As for my voice, I have to sing differently now. '

Basically, she has a decent repertoire of hits and top tunes over many years and fans will be grateful she is here and singing at all. Fair play for getting back and performing in front of that many fans. She's got a hot band of distraction musicians and despite singing a bit low and weird at times, the fans obviously loved it. Close enough to a legend for me. Massive in her day.

Thank you, I had no idea of those events in her life. Brave lady indeed. It's always important to see and understand the big picture. Thanks 👍🏼 👍

Not really, and even if so, that 'day' was pretty short.
Where are the true legends?

She has sold over 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time and the best-selling female artist in country music

Again..and?
Does a 'best selling album in the 90's' make you a legend?
Shania Twain is a country music legend, she is extremely popular - she is only known here for her crossover pop hits in the 90s because her usual style wasn’t popular with British audiences at the time. Loads of very successful country cross-over artists have had minimal success here due to differing musical tastes. Artists like Jewel, Lady A, Faith Hill etc who have sold hundreds of millions of records.

I’m not sure how big she is in the UK bit in the US she is just about the biggest country star going.

And next to NASCAR, racism, and incest, country music is the US’s top love.

Canadian indeed? Didn’t know that.

100 million records

Eilleen Regina "Shania" Twain OC (/aɪˈliːn ... ʃəˈnaɪə/ eye-LEEN ... shə-NY-ə; née Edwards; born August 28, 1965) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She has sold over 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time and the best-selling female artist in country music history.

Does that impress you much?

Nope, Dolly is far more of a legend, even if she's sold fewer records.

I'm not watching Burna Boy but the BBC say he's absolutely tearing the pyramid stage a new one.

I'd be interested in folk's opinion as to who could do the 'legends' slot justice anymore? We've lost so many and a lot are way past it.
Has to be a solo performer, rather than a band, and I'm genuinely struggling to think of anyone.
There’s quite a few;

Elton John
Paul Weller
Ozzy
Cliff
Clapton
Roger Daltrey
Lulu
Rod Stewart
Van Morrison
Robert Plant
Marianne Faithful
Phil Collins
Peter Gabriel

There’s tonnes in the UK alone. And if you go stateside it’s almost endless with your
Neil Diamonds and your Alice Coopers, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop etc

There’s thousands.
