I've never seen you in galsses (as far as I remember).

I don't but probably should do, having worked in IT for over 20 years. Ought to get tested sometime.

I attended and passed a qualification in Display Screen Users asessments and if you use a monitor frequently, get an opticians appointment, if they agree that the screen has played a part in any eyesight problems you get free optical treatment, including contacts.

That's the problem isn't it. I remember being told that when you wear glasses your eyes get a bit lazy and just get worse, so you end up wearing them all the time.

That is exactly what happened to me so I got contacts, best thing I did. Most people who brag that they have got 20:20 vision usually find that when they go to the ops' they haven't and wearing contacts is such a differance when you realise you couldn't see as well as you thought.

You will when you're older.

Opticians call it the 45 eye. That's the age when eyes start to wear out.

Oh bollocks, my eyes are shagged already and I am only 41, been wearing glasses (contacts) since I was 16, round about the time I started watching the Albion...they drive me to distraction sometimes, might I have a case that they have also screwed my vision?

Short sighted about -0.75, I've had them about 7-8 years. Wear them all the time but not at work on PC. A pal had laser eye thingy but I've got to like wearing glasses and he looked very odd without his goggles. Tried contacts but couldn't wear them all day

Been wearing them for long distance for over 10 years and have been told at some point I will need them on a string round my neck as they will hinder reading / PC screen.

The day that happens will be time for laser surgery
