At the grand old age of 45 have just started wearing glasses......for reading.
So do you wear glasses and at what age did you start?

Have needed glasses for nearly 25 years, started wearing them about 9 months ago. Hate them.

I hate people who wear glasses.

I'm sure I need glasses but can't be arsed to get an eye test and don't want to have to waste cash on buying glasses.

I suspect I would be the same. Have noticed myself holding the newspaper a little further away from my eyes when on the train. Also, at home when reading a jar label or something, I have to hold it up to the window for extra light - I feel like my grandad.

My glasses can't read, but i still wear them for most of the day. I squinted determinedly for around 12 years until i were 30, then went goggle shopping. It was a sickener at first, but now they give me a strangely more assured identity. Well, not now, with all the brain damage, but before that, being clearer in sight and judgement and of what shone in mirrors when i stared. I also felt it handed me a smidgeon of authority. Probably like Professor Yaffle, leaping from the shelves and end of books to tell people what's what, and how they should begin and end. I became a full-stop, and sometime exclamation mark.
