The club has, on average, appointed a new manager every seven and a half years. The club's directors have only dismissed three of their managers, namely David White, Jock Wallace (during his second spell) and Pedro Caixinha. The others have left of their own accord or by mutual agreement, except for William Wilton, who died whilst still manager of the club. The current manager, Giovanni Van Bronckhorst is far superior to Slippy G and will reign supreme for 56.

Obviously now they are better organised than Newcastle then! Potentially a good appointment, but he'll have to be good to follow Gerrard (no idea why anybody should feel the need for a pointless snide remark though, so no thumbsup.........)
