What's the point of this thread?

There is no shame in losing to AC Milan.

More quality dickwittery from the OP. Thread opened owing to morbid curiosity. Shaking head sadly (mostly at myself for opening the thread in the first place ).

I believe Arbroath's ground is the closest to the sea in Europe

Have driven past Arbroath's ground, damn windy and as you say right on the coast, mind you I could see the channel from the top of the East terrace in the Goldstone.

I was going to challenge that with Canvey Island FC, but I think your claim is pretty conclusive...

No wonder drug abuse is so high. There’s zero point supporting a team in Scotland. Nobody outside of 2 clubs wins. And even then it’s usually Celtic! Boring boring boring. It’s so boring. There is absolutely no point watching such dullsfeast. Boring. Celtic have won it for a record 28th time in a row...how exciting...zzzzzzzzzz. At least in England we pretend there’s a 6 or so clubs in it!! (But yes, it’s getting just as boring really)

I have seen both Celtic and Rangers play at home over the years (through Mrs Wz's 'mixed marriage' relatives) but my most memorable Scottish match was playing as a ringer for a Sunday League side in January on a pitch which looked straight over the Firth of Clyde.

The reason it was so memorable ? I have never been so f***ing cold in all my life.

As a confirmed soft southern wimp, I lost all interest in football north of the border that day (and that was before we got back to the 'celebrations at our home' pub in Glasgow)

The PL is actually really open, and getting more open each passing season. Remember when the top 4 was always the same top 4? Now it's the same 'top 6' but really it isn't because there hasn't been a consistent top 6 since 2012. And good luck predicting a winner this year unlike every other major league in Europe. The PL income sharing model has created the most unpredictable major league in Europe and that's why it's the most popular in the world right now.

Celtic are the family team as my parents were from Glasgow. Hope that’s ok with you?

Of course. Man U and Man C are my other teams. And PSG, got a link to them according to ancestry.com too...
