All Spanish players have buyout clauses. A mediocre player will have a €200m buy out it’s the law there.

A mediocre player wouldn’t have a €200m buy out clause. The clause is normally based on a value linked to how much the player earns. We met the release clauses for both Cucurella and Pervis and neither could be described as mediocre and neither were €20m let alone €200m.

The ridiculous amounts are reserved for the very elite players, 99% of players will have release clauses that would match what you’d expect to pay for that level of player. The buy out clauses are there to protect the players rights as a worker under Spanish law not to inflate the amount a club can ask for a player.
