Who the f*** will want to buy a 2nd hand prawn sandwich stand seat at extortionate prices :tosser::wanker::tosser::wanker:

Given that all the stands will be awash with local artisan ales, gourmet pies and locally sourced sausages the "prawn sandwich" gibe doesn't really hold in the context of Falmer. If you have bought any type of Albion season ticket you have also bought into the new breed of football supporter whether you like it or not.

I believe some have already been sold on. I have been asked if I will trade mine in the West Middle with someone in the East, for a fee, I said no, but I wouldnt be surprised the hears that others have taken this offer. Also been told there are a number of people on a waiting list who will buy now from existing owners.

If a fair few have not been bought with an eye to selling on and making a profit, Brighton has changed from the town I grew up in. :(

As the above poster said, if we are knocking on the door of the Premiership in 3-4 years time, then the price paid for the 1901 seats today will be superb value for money.

- and yes, they are tradeable in the meantime.

Found this and can't guarantee the prices but these are the cheapest and most expensive season tickets in the prem for each club this season. As I understand it, the cheapest 1901 ticket is £94.80 inc vat per month, ie £1,137.60 per year. So, on todays prices only Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea offer a more expensive package. It is considerably unlikely that the cost of normal season tickets will be anywhere near that price even if we are in the premiership within the next 5 years. But if they do, what price do you think the club would increase the 1901 tickets to at the end of the 5 year agreement?

Arsenal – £893 – £1,825
Liverpool – £680 – £785
Spurs-£650 – £1,175
West Ham – £585 – £830
Chelsea – £550 – £1,210
Wolves– £522 – £630
Man Utd – £513 – £931
Everton– £443 – £631
Man City– £420 – £515
West Brom– £399 – £499
Stoke City– £399 – £599
Sunderland– £395 – £845
Blackpool– £382 – £440
Bolton– £369 – £399
Fulham– £369 – £899
Birmingham– £360 – £580
Aston Villa– £350 – £550
Newcastle– £330 – £975
Wigan– £250 – £295
Blackburn– £224 – £393

Anything that has value, season tickets, 1901 or otherwise, are worth whatever anyone is prepared to pay for them.
Supply and demand.
More people wanting seats, than seats available = Increased value.

Those shown are season ticket prices, not corporate/hospitality/club seat prices. I believe it's around £300 per match at Arsenal for the lounge, a meal and hobnobbing. £140 at Falmer.

Not sure you are comparing like for like here, or whether it's relevant to compare other club's S/T prices to our own hospitality type package.

If we actually get to the Premiership, then £91 per month +vat for the following :

a) guaranteed seat for 5 years
b) best seats in the house
c) inclusive car parking
d) optional hospitality, or bar food and drink

really does represent very good value for money.

I dont really care what Wigan or Bolton charge now, I'm talking about the cost of paying to watch the Albion, at the Amex, at a price which is fixed for the next 5 years.

Anyway, going back to my original post, I have just discovered that the deadline for returning the 1901 forms is this Friday. I guess some forms will not be returned and therefore the seats will be available for re-purchase. Maybe it will be a little longer before we see the first traded 1901 seat.

Not many, anyone who signed up for 1901 had to part with £500 or £1000 on the spot, so I can't see too many fans being happy to lose that outlay

Where did you hear this?

We were asked if we would consider a swap deal as there are people asking about it I'n the east. We said not interested, so didn't find out any more.

But the £140 isn't the 1901 club is it?

Yes it is basically, your 1901 seat is £80-£120 per game (depending on your specific seat), a 3 course meal is around £35 +Vat, so you can have the full works at Falmer for a lot less than the same sort of offer elsewhere.

As I understand it 1901 is not optional hospitality anymore than having a seat in the WSU. Both have access to catering facilities and it is up to you whether you avail yourself of them and in doing so, purchase them. I may be wrong but in the 1901, don't you still have to buy food and drink, the only difference being that you have better facilities to do it in.
