Girlfriends/football. Will they ever be happy bed fellows?

I've got tickets for Mondays match for me and Mrs W E, but being a bank holiday am getting preasure to do do something else with Mrs Wildy Ears.
I've suddenly found myself agreeing to something that goes against the grain.
If Saturdays results go in our favour we will go to Withers.
If Saturdays results go against us we will do something else.

I feel very ashamed:down:

Girlfriends and most things you like doing, drinking with mates, football, messing about with cars, none seem to go well togetehr. I recjkon girls get jealous that something other than her is taking some of your attention.

On the other hand i,m only to happy to let her go shopping with out me.

Fortunately, Mrs Gwylan recognises that I'd rather crawl across a field of broken glass than go traipsing round clothes shops with her, so I'm spared that particular indignity. But there are a remarkable number of women who seem to insist on it.

I reckon that some enterprising businessman should start a service called Rent-a-Gay, where a woman could phone up, get a gay buddy for the afternoon, go off an look at clothes together - leaving their partners to sprawl in front of the box, go down the pub and go to football in peace and quiet. :lolol:

First rule, well one of them anyway, to any prospective girlfriend is that if you enjoy going to football you will continue to do so and she is gonna have to live with it. If you can't wear the trousers on football days at least you are some sort of wimp and will end up getting walked all over, all the time :)

Fantastic idea, i'd be on the phone before her arranging for some gay guy to take her around the shops for the day - money well spent.

The thought of a day dragging round Leeds or Meadowhall makes me feel ill. all the "what do you think of this" no, no ,no.

I've even lied in the past signed up for a days overtime at work and then told teh missus i've been made to work just to avoid it.

Are you going to Ipswich on Saturday or making the trip to Bournemouth with Town?

I am going to Bournemouth. God we need to win this one.

Why is the cheats game on Tuesday night, not Monday afternoon? Its not on Sky is it?
