Seems we played well - but just fell short. Damn - I fancied us doing something in this competition, mickey mouse or not. I've no idea what thw U21s do in between the (comparatively) few and far PL2 matches. Perhaps they need to have a few friendlies against League1/2/National League opponents behind closed doors (or perhaps they do - in which case I don't know why they can't compete (ie beat) League 2 clubs.

We have a fair few players who would be in that starting line-up out on loan though don't we? Jack Hinsh has not long turned 17 and I think a few others are very young too. And yet they are jogging along nicely in PL2 where it really is about bringing youth along and performances are more important than results.
