For those that have registered the NSC league is now open as of 6pm this evening (as requested by a couple of you that cannot select tomorrow and want to do tomorrow's tips tonight)... It does look as though anyone that bet before the league started actually carries their scores into the league but I think you need to have TEN settled bets to show up in the league.

www.gg.com/tipzone

Anyone else wishing to join go to the above link and register, make sure you read the instructions properly and tick/untick the right boxes, once registered go to 'leagues' and look for the 'NSC/NSP Tipping Challenge' and request to join, there are still one or two of you that said you registered but didn't request to join the league including Uncle Spielberg.

To place bets simply go to 'events', it's pretty straightforward from there.

Happy Tipping.

Triggs - does this take the place of the Lucky 15 Challenge - or is that still going?
I will continue that all the while I am able to, enough free time to carry it on at the mo...

Tazman added... 17 players now.

Remember you wont show (I believe) until you have had 10 bets settled.

I am trying to find out how to place bets...Apparently the website is far too complex for me :glare:
When logged onto it go to EVENTS on the top menu, pick your race and horse and click TIP IT.

After the dismal performance of my seven tips yesterday, am I right in thinking that if I post no more than two further tips between now and January 1 2008, no-one will ever have to find out how rubbish I am?

Correct, you need 10 to show up in the league... Once you get one winner though they'll start flying in, I've been telling myself that for the last 3½ years.

Shame you can't tip ante-post, though. I had a look at the Tote-sponsored handicap hurdle at Sandown on Saturday this morning, and I can't for the life of me work out how they're offering 11-2 about Taranis.

It's 20lb lower over hurdles than over fences, bolted in last time over timber (off just 7lb less), and should arguably be a fair bit higher over fences in any case based on a five-length beating at levels by Exotic Dancer last time out.

Only six, and a total of 12 lifetime starts so probably still improving. Trained P Nicholls, ridden R Walsh. What more could anyone want? It will surely start at least two points shorter than 11-2.

Correction - he's 23lb lower over hurdles. He's now up to 152 over fences and races off 129 on Saturday.

Thanks Trigger, for not forcing me to **cough cough** this one to the top myself.

Ah. I just did.

Top tipping on gg.com, btw.

Why thank you, although mostly favourites to boost the coffers but I think it was just one of those days where I couldn't see that many favs getting beat although even the two rank outsiders I did (Fastaffaran & Briery Fox) got placed...I did check my shoes afterwards.
