No, those seats aren’t STH. The ones in them for the Luton game weren’t fans either but fancied watching a bit of live football, were on holiday from Scotland.
I thought that they were doing away with ticket sharing, ie letting in undesirables.

A very polite, agreeable, friendly guy occasionally vapes right next to me and I couldn’t care less. He is EXTREMELY conscious and considerate about it, does it very discreetly, to point I don’t think anyone else has even noticed, by breathing out into his woolly hat/sleeve etc, so I take no issue with it at all and congratulate him on his efforts to give up what is a truly disgusting/unhealthy habit. He has my respect, not judgement! None of us is perfect and we ALL have habits others do not. If he was anti-social/inconsiderate/rude about it, very different story!

So what you mean by “self police” is report to a steward? You really should have been clearer. I know what a lot of other people mean by that phrase and it’s not “report it”.

The ground IS self policed. In the 80s and 90s there were a line of OB down the stairs behind the goal who picked people out for pretty much anything. Now it’s stewards only, many of whom are fans too.

The issue appears to be that they’re not doing their job. You shouldn’t need to report a massive cloud that smells like an 8 year old’s sweetie draw, nor openly celebrating West Ham fans in the SW corner. They’re obvious and need slinging out. Yet we have a post on here stating a steward told someone just to blow it in a scarf.

In that case starting a thread on here is a great idea. The club read NSC and will be aware of this now. Far better than bringing. back in the police.

I don’t need to be clearer, self policing doesn’t have to mean acting like the Equaliser and wading in. If you are that bothered ask them to stop and if you get any grief, report it to a steward.

Honestly think there is far more important things to worry about but if it does worry you that much then do something about it because moaning on a forum won’t change anything.

Wrong. Like I said, the club read NSC and I’d be expecting them to check the seat numbers WHU were reportedly in and acting obvious in the SSWC and having a word with stewards about vaping. Which is all it needs right now.

How will they know which seat numbers WHU were supposedly in if you don’t tell anyone at the time?

Not really. It’s a thread calling out two specific things that our against ground regulations- vaping and away fans in the home end.

Since you’re both ok with those, where do YOU draw the line? People openly doing coke in the seats ok with you? Homophobia and racism? Taking a random swing at your neighbour?
Where is the bit about away fans in the home end? Where is the bit about cocaine, homophobia and racism and violence? I'm not talking about ANY OF THOSE, stop trying to turn this thread from something quite tame into a deeper subject, which it isn't about. I've also been pretty lighthearted in my responses and as per usual, it gets taken WAAAYYY out of context because there are some on here who are like whiney old men and who love to just MOAN MOAN MOAN.

Not ok with them, but it’s no good moaning on a forum about it after the event. Self police it, tell a steward or get on with it.

And don’t suggest I think, taking Coke, fighting or being racist or homophonic is ok just because of my views on the former lesser issues.

That’s an embarrassing over reaction from you.
I only replied to where I saw the quotes, so had to go back abit and yes, I completely agree with you. It's bloody ridiculous to bring those things up. Everyone gets so worked up on here over really small things. Embarrassing really.....

Lots of references to away fans in the home end.

However, with regards to the main topic of vaping - to some it’s not a “small thing”. So please stop trying to minimise the issue for the people who care about it. Disagreeing respectfully is fine, but there‘s nothing “embarrassing” about talking about it - especially when so many people seem to agree that they also get bothered by it.

The point being made was that if this is part of the rules, but people think a blind eye should be turned - then what about the other rules?

The majority are whiny old men though, so you always have to keep that in mind here. I was 25 in 2003.. I’m now 45. Most NSCers, especially those from the beginning are well into their years now… or dead.

SEXIST PIG.

What‘s wrong with whiney old women like me?

There‘s only one solution for people like you. Bring back the birch.

If you had to rely on Mr BhaDebenhams tiny penis for sexual satisfaction for the last 43 years you’d understand why some of us are unhappy about small things.

There are loads of posts in this thread about West Ham in our end.

Here's a pop quiz. What do having a ticket that isn't yours in the home end, homophobia, racism, bottle tops and flasks, drinking in sight of the pitch and vaping in your seat have in common? Yep, all against the ground regulations. Why do you and Steve U get to choose which ones are good and bad?

Will moaning on a forum about moaning on a forum change anything?

Dead people post on here ?
I think you need to point them out.
Errr… no. I didn’t say anything like that, I don’t think you stop being an NSCer when you die, posters here still remember fondly Ben’s Grandad and Lord Bracknell amongst others.
