Hi to everyone who was kind enough to post a message with their wishes. A thread like this really does give you a lift.

Just to bring you up to date, I'm now at home recovering, with my lovely wife and two daughters tending to my every, overbearing whim. I'm not allowed to lift anything heavier than a kettle so I even have my food brought to me on a tray. Also, I can't drive for another 6 weeks.

However, the operation was a 100% success and so everything was worthwhile. Hope to see you all soon and thanks once again.
