Just had a call from him to say that he is up and recovering from a major operation in Guy's Hospital. He was taken into hospital last week to have a year-old 'benign growth' removed from the outside of his lungs (it was growing to attach itself to his windpipe), an operation that involved breaking a rib and 'springing' two more to gain access to the area.

He seems to be doing well, and is looking forward to organising the REMF Golf Day very soon.
