We need 2 extra strikers. Someone who can fill in Murray's boots and a speed merchant like what Saints have in Ings.

Maupay is our version of Robbie Keane. Not blessed with tons of pace, not a strong physical player, but someone who shows the technical skill when needed e.g. the assist and the technically difficult overhead kick.

He wants the ball, he's willing to fight and he knows where the goal is. We just need to create more space for him. The problem is we look so narrow at times he's constantly got 2 men on him as he's receiving the ball.
Its not that we look narrow mate. We are narrow. The penalty box is always so crowded our strikers can't get in the game when we're attacking

This.

I find it absolutely bizarre that some would criticise Maupay when again, he was one of our better players.

The guy is absolutely crying out for some decent support up top alongside him.
I thought he had one if his poorest games today. But the idea of "getting rid" is ridiculous

Calm down darling. Just stating he’s a centre forward who doesn’t really score, and he’s gonna get himself sent off soon for his childish behaviour.

And we're 'stating' that you're wrong.

I'd have made Maupay MoM for his performance in the last three minutes. The only spark of passion in the last hour of the game. A turgid, tedious waste of most of an afternoon.

Wow! at the OP on this thread.

Neal Maupay works his socks off for the team but is being fed scraps. His wingman is a 19 yr old prospect who is struggling at this level and our only other is 36 yr old Murray.

So if we get rid of Maupay as the OP suggests, we might be a little light up top don't you think?
