Agree 100%. People think we have a divine right to be further up in the table, and that we should be signing players that realistically we could not afford in our current situation. People need to be realistic about our financial position.

in CKR's case it was not "beggars cant be chosers" though was it?

MM chose to spend the 250k on CKR which he now admits was for the future.

The groundswell of opinion on here, admittedly not representative of the general paying public was that we needed someone now not for the future. As you say its not CKR's fault and he should not be pillioried for it ( "CKR is a TWAT" thread was just plainly rediculous)

I suppose the biggest mystery is the Argie and what exactly MM was doing spending 150k on someone everyone who has seen him recons he is not up to it, when we have bugger all money to spend...now bugger all minus 150K

DK, MM and the players themselves have made / will make mistakes along the way but anything that we say should ( I believe ) always be tempered by a realisation of where we could be without their efforts.

I think there was the suggestion that Benjy was unsettled and when he came down here he looked ok......In the short term ie to keep us up he maybe could have done a job
