If we’d equalised against Palace with a dubious penalty this place would be full of laughing emojis and Palace wind ups.

Score against Germany that way and it seems to have triggered half of South East England.

It’s definitely high up in my Top 5 least favourite traits about NSC. If that had been Muzza we’d have been applauding how intelligent a striker he is.

Southgate outers trying to convince themselves Kane wasn't just booted in the calf to suit their agenda. It's just weird at this point. A because he didn't pick Dunk

I want Southgate out not because of what you have put but because our best player spent most of the match on the bench!

I'm not sure that either Bowen or Grealish can be described as England's best player unless your prism / terms of reference are incredibly narrow.

Bowen's had 1.25 glorified friendlies and Grealish flatters to deceive more than Graham Potter circa 2020.

Still have reservations about Southgate's tactical acumen, but the Grealish substitution came off so credit where it's due.

Only 37% possession, but 15 shots from that versus Germany's 10. Both had 6 on target.

Always a decent point in Germany, especially after the disappointment in Hungary.

Now it's time for a little payback on Saturday with Italy...

That reveals that the majority of British football supporters have morphed into selectively condoning cheating over the last 20 years or so.

There was a time when we all mocked the likes of Shearer spouting “Well, he invited the challenge” or “Well, there was the slightest of contact”.

Is it possible that he wasn't offside as he hadn't touched the ball?
I assume if you're fouled in an offside position, it's still a foul

In a worthwhile game yes. Issue here is this is a game set up to get the team/squad ready for a tournament and it's the disjointed way we are playing and the personnel being used. The result is secondary to the understanding between the players. and the tactics being adopted by the manager. Our defence had bigger holes in it than a Boris party explanation.

Who cares? We are Brighton fans and dislike that cheat Kane intensely. We happen to like Glenn Murray.
Speak for yourself. I’m a Brighton fan and I regard Kane as an England legend - even in a Spurs shirt.

Well done. They'll certainly miss you.

See you for the Qatar World Cup where, despite England being shit, Southgate being shit, the whole tournament being a blood stained exercise in sports washing and ruining our domestic schedule, you'll nevertheless be watching the denouement, flag in hand, should we progress out of the group and into the part of the tournament the long term plan and it's young players are targeting.
