Doesn't sound like it's going to be pretty, starting with him likely to get a bollocking from the Speaker for all of the media leaks.

So far he's blamed fuel prices and agricultural commodity prices, the previous government (3 times so far), great stuff Gideon, will it ever be your problem?

Would be a great way to deflect attention if he announced the iPad 3 at the event.

Rather than taking the piss out of our hard working Government, shouldn't you mugs be hard at work so as to finance my Pension Rise!

Instead of pussy footing about just come out with it "We are in the shit and retirement will be banished, that way we will not have to worry about pension shortfalls"

"Everyone under 30 years of age should be in full time education paying £8K per annum keeping the unemployment figures down".

That's it job done.

thast pretty shabby since they've been fairly stable to trending downwards this year. will he trumpet next years lower inflation due to the non-rising of commodities? doubt it.

where's sten super when you need him? Its well know that I'm not a fan of George, but I'm also not a fan of Balls. is there the likeliest chance though that Balls (and indeed Darling before him) may actually be proved right in the long run? We'll never know of course.

When he was in opposition, cameron spent 4 years trying not to have a policy. It seems labour are doing the same. If I were Balls I wouldnt actually want to win this debate yet - maybe in two years time (especially if his wife becomes leader).

He just said 'slower rate of spending reduction'. Does that count?

yes, yes it does. crafty politician is changing the words, but the meaning is the same: we'd do the same but slightly less.
