Why have the argus felt the need to write 'flame-haired'? What has his hair colour got to do with his playing ability?

Also, what happened to that ex Chelsea lad we had on trial last season? Was it Hunte? Meant to be the next big thing but released by them, played 60 minutes for us and never heard of again.

Coz he'll get sunburn if he plays more than a half in pre-season or August.

To avoid the repetition of just using 'attacking midfielder', '18-year-old' or anything else they've described him as already. A pretty standard approach common across most news outlets

But pretty dodgy nonetheless. When Ince signed was he referred to as "Rohan Ince, who has skin the colour of coal"

But they, quite rightly, don't say black in relation to Ince or Bridcutt. So in reality what is the difference (bar the obvious one being skin colour and one being hair).

Its to soften up the fans that there might be a ginger playing for us.

They make reference to his ginger hair, because that is a desirable attribute ... like being "pacy", "towering" or "hung like a Dublin".
