Nothing against Burnley fans at all. Ditto for Boro.

The 3 clubs are in the midst of heated debates about each other on our respective fan sites, so things are always going to be said about a rival. With Burnley, the general consensus is not liking Barton & Dyche. Agreed, Dyche says things that we don't feel are fair, but i've also heard CH after a match in the past and not always agreed with him.

I think (and this isn't a biased viewpoint...) that ourselves and Boro deserve the top 2, but if Burnley go up, then it will be deserved, as they will have done what needed to be done. We can point at various games and get annoyed at their last gasp goals, but all 3 teams have had them - it's all about playing to the final whistle, whatever minute that is.

It's been a fantastic season for us, and hopefully it will continue for 2 more games!

Never said it was equal
Mmm, that's how I read "but equally Keane should have had been awarded a goal."
just pointing out that we are not as hard done to as some make out.
I disagree. If the ref got it right, we'd have been a goal up against 10 men.

The OP was querying why there is so much hostility from (some of) NSC. I don't share the hatred that's all.
I don't hate Burnley at all, but that doesn't mean they weren't lucky.

Barton sullied his copy book with his performance against us and his (as well as their fans) attempts to defend his actions but then we would do the same.

So if Kayal did that to Barton we would defend him?

Bollocks we would. Some maybe, but a minority.

And if we had Barton (please god never let it happen) we would defend him for that, knowing his past?

1) Joey Barton - 2 reds and 2 yellows = 0 in the same game, 1 of which there really can be no debate for, unless you are massively biased or a converted Leeds fan from 40 odd years ago.
2) Sean Dyche - his inability to show any respect to opposition in his interviews, his defending of Barton didn't annoy me as that's what most managers would do, however:
3) Burnley Fans - didn't need to defend what was a blatant stamp, but that is exactly what they did, claiming 'Kayal tried to trip him with his leg' as some kind of counter-argument

Also, some of your fans when I went up t'turf with my 7yo nephew and likewise a few of those that travelled down recently were absolutely shameless, the worst abuse for a number of years - of course there will others with more postive anecdotes about exchanges with your fans, just stating my experience.

Barton's stamp, the police should have got involved...

It's not just that Joey Barton is a thug, there's loads of them in football. Its the constant whining into the ref's ear the rest of the time. Dyche is just being an opposition manager, doesn't come across as classless as say a Mourinho or Daglish so nothing much against him. And nothing much against the club in general, although I seem to remember some radio broadcasts picking up the usual tedious homophobia although that could have been somewhere similar - Rochdale maybe.

We have defended players in the past for doing similar - we've even argued after players have been sent off

It happens

Plus, contrast their fans' attitude to Charlton's plight and ours.
Says all that needs be said about the difference between the two clubs

I actually like Burnley. They are a team from a small town with no hinterland (Lancashire is full of other big teams) and yet they are successful at this level and when they've signed big players it's followed them selling players for more (ings, trippier etc) so they've turned in a profit.

I even actually grudgingly like dyche. He's been successful at two clubs now.

Barton sullied his copy book with his performance against us and his (as well as their fans) attempts to defend his actions but then we would do the same.

Yeah I agree with all this. Plus I still love Barnes so that counts for them as well.

Most clubs coming to Burnley accuse us of incest - which ulike homosexuality, is illegal. We don't take them seriously. You seem to be still on the flat caps and whippets stereotype, so that's just merry banter presumably - stereotyping is fine as long as it's the right sort of stereotyping.
