there's another one up there now, why the f*** are people so obsessed with attendences? Go to the match, get pissed up (optional) watch the match, cheer the team, go home again. Repeat following Tues/Sat whatever, simples

After numerous instances of fans on NSC poorly 'guessing' the away attendance on the day, or based on images on SSN in the past would it not be easier just to wait for the club(s) official announcement after an away game, and then feel smug/proud/disappointed once the details are known. I'm thinking Shef Weds in particular when the guesses on here were well wide of the mark.

Watched the highlights on Seagulls World and there seemed to be plenty of room on the terraces at the ends. 2500 seemed perfectly plausible.
Providing up to date and accurate running totals of tickets sold for away games is never going to be a top priority for the ticket office so I'd always treat any figures they quote as very approximate.
Falsifying attendances is in breach of football league rules and conning the taxman is a risky business. I don't think clubs are quite so willing to run the risk of understating attendances as so many people seem believe here. Besides which high attendances are a source of pride.

You & your old man seem obsessed about how many we take away, I remember you doubting the official figures for the Wednesday game as well.

And both are unable to explain why. For the wednesday game, they were posting on 'How many were there..?' threads afetr theyd been told the official away following!

simple solution, when you go away, count 'em, that way even if the figures have been doctored at least you'll know 'the truth' and sleeping will be that much easier.

Quite easy to get away with though, as we made it public that we'd sold about 2500 and there was never an announcement about it being POTG, therefore any Satdi sales can get buried.
