Jack Straw
I look nothing like him!
I've been trying to photograph a butterfly on a Pyramidal Orchid for years. At last! A Spotted Fritillary in the Drome region of France.
Having admired your photos on here - I am not at all surprised.Very pleased to find out that one of my photos has been selected for publication in this year's Bird Photographer of the Year book.
Will find out early September if it is a winner.
Will post photo here once published.
Did some photographing of swallows in flight recently on a trip to New Zealand - really hard subject but I was pleased with these.
The best method is to just give up and take photos of the sky instead - that's always been the end result for me anyway! Those are good, I like the one having a dip. I've spent a bit of time photographing these guys and they are very very difficult. I'm still not sure if best method is trying to track them as they come through or just being patient at an exact spot they are likely to go through.
Thanks - was really hard! I found a spot they were constantly flew through and then focused on them as soon as they entered the fame. Majority out of focus but after a few hours got a few that were in focus. Those are good, I like the one having a dip. Most kind - Thank youHaving admired your photos on here - I am not at all surprised.
Look at the damage she has done to them.As per chance this lady was on TS this afternoon…the idea is you chuck them in the air and predictions are based on how they land….is there a future in this for you?

Just trying out a second hand ten year old 12MP canon G16, that I bought this week
Thanks….i seem to lose a bit of resolution posting jpegs….considering it cost me under £200…reasonable range 28/140 and a bright lens and feels good in the hand …then for snaps as an alternative to my mobile I’m very happyLooks like there's nothing wrong with it at all.
I like it, the shadow looks great too.Taken at the pond in the secret garden in Preston Manor yesterday morning. Not the most thrilling photo in the history of photography but I just like the mix of shapes and colours and textures
