these debates are not dull, they are painful. i dislike both of them less everytime they are on. they trot out the same tired claims with nothing new.
Is this possibly not the second time today you haven't not got your words confused?

"Are you two the best we've got?" - great question, and one which could apply on either side of the Atlantic.
Thought it was a Reformist question, and a tad silly.

We all know Labour are going to win but Starmer is coming across very weak & unconvincing!
Probably figures it is his to lose, so don't overpromise or the jackasses will be dancing all over his'unfunded' promises in the morning.

Sunk has come out with some desperate nonsense (including lies - Labour was responsible for the global financial crash, for example) but Starmer hasn't bothered to make much of it.

A fairly painful watch which is why I am back watching the football.

I've just found out for the 57th time that Keir Starmer's father was a toolmaker.
Surely his advisors are not doing their job if they're not telling him to stop keep repeating this fact.

p.s. Starmer is making Sunak look totally inadequate tonight.

Just you wait and count how many times you discover that Fabian Hürzeler is the youngest ever permanent manager in the Premier League.

Tax increases under Labour and no real plan with the illegal immigrants issue stood out in tonight's debate for me. :(

I fear what Sunak says will come to pass if Labour get in re taxation

But we had tax increases and illegal immigration issues under 14 years of the Tories and they can't get away with it.

The issue I have these debates is frankly they are organised by TV companies as if we lived under a presidential system. We don't.

If you wanted the truth, we'd have non partisan independent experts dissecting the plans and giving an honest view. But that doesn't make good telly.

The truth is that whoever is in charge needs more money to fix the public services and some of us are going to have to pay for it.

The real issue is social care as anyone of my age knows. Both parties know it's a difficult and very expensive issue, but if you were honest with the electorate and threw money at it, it would release more than it costs to be spent on the NHS.

Unfortunately the electorate often want quick wins and aren't interested in the long term solutions.

I went into Stockton this evening expecting to see a sea of "Vote Labour" boards. I saw 1. Didn't see any of the other parties ones either. Am not sure many people are really that bothered about this election. We will see.

His ratings go up every time he says it. Most people don't follow politics regularly

Our Sussex lane is usually a procession of Cons posters mixed with some UKIP/Reform and Lib Dem. This election my Vote Labour is the only one to be seen and I haven’t had a brick through the window this time (yet…)
