No, he said he would already have solved any problem through negotiation. He did not say he would use them. He obfuscated. Having nuclear weapons for defense does not prevent us from conducting peace negotiations.

They won't be fired if aggressors believe we will use them to defend ourselves. If we disarm or are not
prepared to use them then we will put ourselves in danger. JC's non reaction to this point being made to him just then was unbelievable. He has just alienated many traditional Labour voters.

That has been the reason why the peace has been maintained for so long -it is called deterrent. Corbyn talking about chatting with rogue states like North Korea about ditching weapons is just fantasy. This is his only response to questions which try to tie him down - yes, it is very desirable to seek agreement on such issues, but when there is no such agreement - and do you really think countries like North korea etc will listen - he then struggles.

I think it is highly unlikely, but as a possible future leader of a nation with that capability, you DO NOT rule it out.
