I did my part. Weirdly a teller came round to ask me if I'd voted despite me giving them my polling number. He seemed very confident and relaxed and his list of doors to knock was very short.

The General Election 2017 "Through The Night" thread

As a lifelong Conservative voter I wish all of the progressives well, all of the parties worked incredibly hard to get their message out in a very short space of time, on two occasions literally in terrifying conditions.

The people have spoken and the Conservatives need to listen. As for me I won't be whining on FB ant Twitter, the world hasn't ended, I won't be heading into the city to smash it up with my face covered and I most certainly won't be falling out with friends and family over this result, well done to Mr Corbyn.

Cannot believe the Con to Lab swing in my constituency Brighton Kemp Town. This really is a disaster for the Conservatives.

Rudd has only just clung on, even Hastings was hard work.

I am in the Worthing East and Shoreham constituency and I don't think I can recall a Labour vote of this size in my lifetime !
