I'll take the top one. Bullshit.

I think we need to have a close look at who uses these food banks and why.

I know only three people who have used them. All have children, all are on the dole, and have no intention of working.

Two of them have cars.

All of them smoke at least 20 per day.

All have decent mobile phones. All have flat screen TVs and subscribe to albeit the basic SKY/VIRGIN TV packages

One of them as I type is on holiday with her two kids in Benidorm.

But they all have used food banks on more than one occasion.

If you are on the street and begging for food to survive, then you NEED food banks.

If you are in a house paid for by the state, out of work, but can afford lifes luxuries, and you use food bank, then you need a ****ing slap.

I would love an indept study just to who uses these food banks and why.

I am sure there are many justified in using them. But I also sure there are a large amount of people who don't need them, and sees banks as another freebie.

Oh, and the whole affordable home issue. Have a look at prices of houses in Brighton in 1997 when Labour came to power, and then in 2010 when they left power. Don't think you can pin that one on the blues.

I too would like a proper breakdown on who is using these food banks as well, because I don't believe everyone needs them. Like you point out in your post, if they cut out smoking that about's about £25-£50 per week that could be spent on food. That's a quite a bit of food if you shop sensibly.

As for things like Tax Credit cuts which the Tories have been hammered for, we need to look back at the amount of money that went out in fraudulent claims under the last Labour government, quite rightly it pissed people who where going out to work everyday and couldn't claim a single penny. If people can genuinely work, they should work.

So basically you get to choose who deserves to eat?

Back on last night it was, frankly, depressing. What an earth Paxman was doing asking Corbyn about what wasn't in his manifesto & then constantly interrupting I have no idea. It made it seem like he approved of a document he was actually waving angrily.

Meanwhile Maybot confirmed to everyone that she's terrible at debating and Paxo finally landed a blow with the blowhard comment before allowing her to finish on Europe unchallenged.

Two very, very unsuitable leaders but as it goes on at least Corbyn comes over as a human being.

I'd like to know how the port of Dover and the wider county of Kent will operate in the absence of a customs union deal in the 'no deal' scenario and what contingency planning has taken place. Charlie Elphicke MP has saying much the same for months and not had a answer.

Never mind the Irish border question too.

When it comes down to it the other 27 are going to decide for us what deal we will get, but yes "we've got our country back".....

imagine a deal where we have to pay billions in to the EU, while having restrictions on import/exports with non-EU, open to freedom of movement, and under ECJ jurisdiction, but no longer formally part of any decision making processes of EU. would that be a good deal?

But no Deal would be a ****ing nightmare too. It's just a sound bite that she thinks and hopes makes her sound tough. Which sure, it could do, if you trust her implicitly, but that's asking an awful lot. She has never once really given the public anything to trust her about. She flip flops about so much that the tory campaign has had to default to brexit from today because they know when she talks policy, it sounds bad and doesn't win votes. That doesn't say much to me.

Thought May came out better. Weasel Corbyn is just a broken record spouting same old same old, hope he gets annihilated on June 8 as he's totally unfit to govern the country

Posts like this come across as just being scared that he might. .. just... win. (And I won't be voting labour). He came across as honest and down to earth imho.

Some of those other 27 are getting a bit sick and tired of the EU too, did you not see the speech from the Polish PM on the other thread, deeply unhappy that the EU wants to impose migrant quotas on her country. Good for the people of this country for voting Leave who can see past the EU bullshite.

Melting May lol

Wasn't to interested when watched this as assumed both leaders would put in reasonably assured performances and more of the same.

Whilst this is true to an extent it was embarrassing for May to be laughed at. She seemed to lose all confidence from the off and looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Corbyn was pretty good it has to be said.

No-one is claiming that 'no deal' is a good thing. It would be bad for both sides and that's the point. The 'no deal' option is a deterrent to ensure we achieve a mutually beneficial deal with the EU. If we were to have a negotiating position of 'a deal at all costs' then the EU would have no incentive to compromise. This is just basic negotiating strategy and is used for example (and taught) in conflict resolution.

I am afraid through the Labour years it was frowned upon to be patriotic, even in school sports day winning was dumbed down. Whilst other countries were proudly flying their flag ours was frowned upon. Like the events that have happened of late, others are more important than our own it seems.

Exactly my point. So I assume you trust may to deliver 100% then? Because I certainly do not and that's why this "no deal mantra" rings hollow to me.

There we go, I knew you wouldn't let me down. You're on much firmer ground recycling someone else's opinion in a crappy meme. The Oxford debating society's loss is truly the internet's gain

Oh well played.
Its quite usual for you people like you to oh so slightly and deliberately change a quote to fit your agenda

The past tense in the actual factual quote is quite important if you are judging someone.

"I agreed with the shooting of British soldiers and believed that the more who were killed the better.

Perhaps you should have included a quote after she became disillusioned in the whole bloody thing and wanted nothing more to do with it.

“But now, almost for the first time, I wondered about the crippled and the widowed and the lives that had been changed forever."

But lets take your view that anyone who has showed support for the IRA should be excluded from political office across the board, even the Tory woman who has accepted she was wrong and misguided.

Doesnt leave some Labour apologists who refuse to distance themselves from their past on any firm ground does it if your standards are to apply?

Honestly trying to compare a possible PM and a councillor who has repented, and do it falsely to boot is quite the stretch

I was comparing an ALLEGED 'terrorist sympathiser' with an ex IRA terrorist. Why should Corbyn distance himself from his past? He was only doing what John Major's government at the time were doing in secret. Oh, and it was Buzzer who wanted the crappy meme.

You seem certain on some of the aspects
which bit of the Brexit that was voted for do you not expect May to deliver on?

Because nobody seems to know what it means. In what way is our country going to be "back" after we leave the EU?

He wanted a meme
you supplied a crappy one

do you seriously expect to be taken seriously if you supply a meme promoted by the left that has been altered and is a lie.......whats wrong with at least supplying true ones?
Poor effort - 5 points
