While I know what you mean, perhaps not the best phrase to be using with regard to Germany.
I see what you mean. I was referring to this http://www.theguardian.com/business...discounters-uk-supermarkets-ronny-gottschlich

"Tories will reduce UK public spending to Estonian levels "
Incredible

What? You want them lower still?
No. I'm shocked that the Tories are hell bent on turning the UK into a backward nation.
Well Hell! They're not very successful at that at the moment.
Now Mssr. Hollande? He's excelling at the task!

You will do when the Germans have fully taken over Europe.
Just for a moment - remind me of the purpose of the creation of the welfare state? My biological father worked it out pretty quick - spent the next 60 years free riding on the backs of the citizens of this great country. He was a self made intellectual from the East End of London - with extrodinary charm and capabilities. He had no excuse to cheat on my mother, myself and everyone else.
I'll always resent the system that allowed him and other cheats to give nothing and take all. I couldn't live with my conscience if my attitude was anything other than completely opposite.
Oh dear. Are we decending to cheap german jokes
Come on, it wasn't that cheap. It was quite topical and relevant to the Aldi comment.
You will do after May 8th when you see how much tax you'll be paying
Does NCS put Bozza on top rate tax! Btw, the UK already has higher top rate taxes you have a mortgage, wife and two kids, than Germany and other major euro economies. But still, not enough for labour, need to squeeze the pips until they squeek (was that the labour sayung, something like that)
Not true. I pay much more tax here than in the UK. Take a look at the tax system yourself.
Was a BBC article i read yesterday. Will try and find it. Clearly they had to make some base assumption, i think pay was £240k and mortgage £750k
I'd be interested to see this. Take a look at this http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_Germany
Given that specific scenario it does seem the German pays a little less tax. I'm pretty sure that in general Germans pay more; I'm certain this is the case across the middle pay bands due to the linear increase.
