The SNP will be representing the whole of Scotland, not just their voters or the minority who voted for independence, so I cannot see how they can credibly pursue their raison d'être over the next 5 years. And you seem to have forgotten that they already have MPs and vote in parliament so there is no change here; the numbers might increase but then this is just one-MP-one-vote democracy at work. Also, they seem broadly aligned with the Labour Party on a number of key issues so at worst I foresee more debate around these areas which can surely only be a good thing?

I see it differently with at worst a Labour minority with SNP backing. Time will tell I guess.
As an aside, I am really warming to the idea of a Labour SNP coalition.

There will be no formal coalition with the SNP. No doubt there will have to be another general election later on in the year while Cameron clings to power in a minority government.

The point I was trying to convey was that the top of the pile target seats UKIP believe are winnable would be beneficial to Labour as the Conservatives could lose 8 or 9 seats whereas Labour could lose 1. UKIP support appears to be from across the whole political spectrum which could affect results in Labour's northern heartlands and there could be constituencies where they oust a traditional party from second to third place.
The overseas aid budget will increase by an extra £1 billion over the next two years under new European Union rules, it has emerged. The Department for International Development (Dfid) is preparing to change accounting methods in order to bring Britain in line with other EU countries, making it harder to meet the controversial aid target in the next parliament, according to The Times. The UK already spends more than any other country on international agencies and is the second largest aid donor in the world. Government figures released on Thursday reportedly show that Britain met last year's aid spending target of £11.7 billion.

Absolutely ludicrous that there was £1Bn left in the pot last year with eight weeks to go before the accounting period ended and they had to spend the whole ****ing lot. Why are we sending foreign aid to Argentina when all they want to do is bomb the Falklands ?
Why indeed. As mentioned, India who stated years ago they did not want the 1.6 bn sent every year, and have a space programme and 10bn to spend on subs.
Quite a few other foreign aid schemes that should be knocked on the head, but when a politician states that foreign aid should be streamlined he is put down by some.

Can you please explain how this is the case. The Tories currently have one MP. They'll be lucky to keep that one I suspect, but they're not going to be gaining any seats, so how will it result in getting Cameron back into No 10? It's more likely to lead to a minority government or another Coalition, with Labour in charge.

Given the number of times that [MENTION=36]Titanic[/MENTION] has implied that he's been investing his money on the Tories, he might just not like what goes on on May 7. Not only do the Tories need a consistent 3 or 4 point lead to get a majority, or even be the largest party, they're also performing poorly in the key marginals. I'm almost tempted to get some money on Labour as largest party, although a Labour minority government is the favourite with all the bookies, ranging from 15/8 to 9/4.
