Hung Parliament means that Brown will be Prime Minister unless he will hand in a resignation to the Queen and will be noted on the Queen's Speech. If Brown does hand in a resignation, then Cameron will have the chance to form a coalition.

This is a convention, that will be followed as we have an Uncodfied Constitution, Brown will resign if these results formulate. As the Conservatives will have been given the mandate to govern by the people...

From the Beeb...

There are reports of long queues of people still waiting to vote in some parts of the country after the most closely fought election in decades.

Polls closed across the country at 2200 BST but in Sutton Coldfield a BBC reporter says there are plans to lock voters inside the Mere Green Polling Station because the queues are currently so long.

Could be that plenty of people are unable to vote.

Just showed Leeds with people queuing down the road at 9:30. Cannot see them getting to vote today

Not necessary a mandate but a kind of first dibs. Though as previously said, according to the exit poll, even if Labour and Lib Dem form together, they still wont have a majority....it's a very interesting and rare dilemma in British politics.

What is it with all these thick people leaving it so late to vote? They've been open since 7am!! Do they not get out of bed until late or something?

Meanwhile in Worthing Mrs Miggins has just gone to the toilet and the counting will be delayed accordingly.

Interesting that MOST OF ENGLAND voted Tory in 2005 but the Jocks and the Taffs with their own stupid parties and labour support in those minor countries means we got the one eyed jock ponce when Blair stepped down.
